Upgrade…

Somebody shoot me.

This evening I decided to do the quick 5 minute upgrade to the blog.  Don’t ever do that without fully understanding how your software works.  I’ve recently switched from FileZilla to Transmit… after tonight I’m switching back.

If you noticed that the site was down for about 2 hours, it’s because I didn’t do my homework.  I’ve never used a tool that does a “replace files” by first DELETING the old files and or directory… What the!?!?

I uploaded the blog files, hit the upgrade page, then the homepage and blank… Okay, so I quickly go into debug mode, then realize that I’m missing all of my themes and plugins…

I was able to find old backups of all of the files transmit blew up… After uploading them back to the site, upgrading all of the pieces that were old and getting things running again. I blew transmit up.

Anyhow, back to FileZilla for my SFTP needs – much better.  The site should be back to normal, if you find anything that is weird, drop me a line.  Thanks!
