We’ve just picked up a Roomba for the Barr family household.  It is a fantastic little tool!  For those of you that are not familiar with the iRobot Roomba, it’s a little electronic robot vacum.

Last night we picked up the Roomba at Coscto, plugged him in and then set it loose.  It was pretty funny to watch Nikky and Toby interact with the robot vaccum, they weren’t quite sure what to do.  With the baby on the way, we figured the Roomba would be a nice way to help allieviate the household duties.

The version we picked up has a nice scheduling feature on it, so this morning at 5am our little Roomba started to clean the house.  At approximately 5:45 this morning, it had founds its way into our bedroom.  The little guy was able to clean most of the entire house before heading back to its home base to charge up again - ready to clean!

If you have any experiances with a Roomba, I’d love to hear about them.  Also, any tips on how to best use it would be great!
